RHYTHM & ROOTS

Ford Amphitheatre, Hollywood
Rhythm & Roots, a benefit concert, celebrated the connection and diversity of the world's cultures through music and dance. Rhythm & Roots featured Keshet Chaim, LA based Israeli contemporary dance company, and the Lula Washington Dance Theatre, an African-American contemporary dance company. Together with the multi-ethnic, interfaith Agape International Choir they shared the communal mission of peace and healing that is alive in our imaginations, hearts and souls. The evening featured the vocal stylings of; Macy Gray, Israeli superstar Harel Skaat, R&B Singer Abraham McDonald and female rapper MC Lyte. Rhythm & Roots was a benefit concert supporting Children Uniting Nations, an organization who brings attention the plight of at-risk and foster youth and Keshet Chaim’s educational programs which break down the ethnic and cultural barriers among our youth through the arts.
